DenverWorks' target population is low-income jobseekers with barriers to employment. Those barriers to employment may include a criminal background; substance abuse; dependency on government assistance; a disability; or lack of child care, transportation, language proficiency, or self-confidence. Our goal is to help our clients identify, own, and overcome their barriers to employment.
Our clients are typically:
♦ Ages 17 and up and out of school.
♦ 49% female and 51% male
♦ 46% Hispanic; 22% White (Non-Hispanic); 18% African-American; 1% Asian; 12% Multiple Ethnicities, Other Ethnicities, or not answering
