Programs Employment Ready
One-on-one consultation is the core of our Employment Ready Program. Clients who have completed the jobseeker workshop are matched with a client manager who provides individualized job search assistance such as career counseling, resume' preparation, job leads, interview coaching, community voicemail and e-mail setup and community referrals.
2nd Chance
The 2nd Chance program provides employment assistance to the prisoner reentry population. The entry point into the program is the former offender workshop. Topics for the workshop include job search strategies for former offenders, tips on responding to difficult interview questions, and an introduction to industries and employers who are felon-friendly. 2nd Chance offers job leads clothing, computer lab access, mentoring opportunities, and other assistance based on individual needs and qualifying criteria.

Mentoring Living Free Mentoring Living Free Mentoring is a partnership between DenverWorks and Strong Tower Ministries. Clients are offered one-on-one mentoring to assist them in life skill development, positive behaviors, spiritual development, parenting, conflict resolution, and employment retention. This partnership also provides weekly evening sessions for peer-to-peer support, belonging, and connection. Please click here for more information.
Life Skills Group Mentoring Life skills group mentoring launched on June 25, 2009. This program is intended for clients who wish to receive the benefits of mentoring in a group setting. Sessions are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the DenverWorks office. The program gives clients an opportunity to receive in-depth training in a variety of life-skills topics that wil be vital to their success and personal development. Inmate Group Mentoring Inmate group mentoring is offered to current offenders who are six months or less from release. This program is led in a group setting and teaches offenders a variety of life-skills that will be necessary for a successful reentry into society. Services Men @ Work and Women @ Work Clothing Closets DenverWorks provides jobseekers with clothing for interviewing and on-the-job confidence. Over 60 community agencies refer their clients to DenverWorks to receive free work attire.
Computer Lab DenverWorks' computer lab is available for jobseekers on a drop-in basis Monday through Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Volunteers may assist users with e-mail accounts, resumes, keyboard tutorials, and online applications.
